The force was not strong with a man in Portland, Ore., who was sentenced to 45 days in jail and a mental health evaluation after police said he attacked some toy store customers with light sabers in December.
On Tuesday, 33-year-old David Allen Canterbury apologized to his victims before his sentencing on assault charges, the Oregonian reported.
Portland police told the publication that during the incident, Canterbury had a Star Wars light saber in each hand and swung at three customers at a Toys R Us store. Officers said he walked out of the store with the toy swords and swung at police as well.
Officers said they employed a Taser in an effort to subdue Canterbury, but he used the swords to break one of the electrical wires and disable the device. Police were able to wrestle Canterbury to ground and arrest him.
It's unclear if Canterbury was able to use his Jedi powers to sway the sentencing judge, who dismissed additional charges of interfering with a police officer, theft and disorderly conduct.

A choke hold performed with a clenched fist at twenty feet away is much more impressive than a nightstick held on the trachea.
