I know all about Phil Collins and Genesis; for some reason, I've never liked Genesis even with Peter Gabriel, ever.

Listen to Keith Moon if you want to hear some awesome playing. There are parts of Quadrophenia where he is simply amazing during the instrumentals, same thing on Tommy. Unfortunately, the same things that made him a great drummer also contributed to his (same thing with John Bonham) untimely death. His stint as Wicked Uncle Ernie in Tommy is probably more real than acting if you've seen The Kids Are Alright.

Keith Moon starts around 4:00 minutes.

I could be wrong though since I haven't listened to either in years but I did see the movie Tommy recently and I was amazed at how incredibly bad it was although Ann Margret is still hot in it.

Oh no doubt. Moonie may be my favorite of all, interesting you mentioned Quadrophenia, I just listened to it again in its' entirety for the first time in years the other day.
