Gingrich will drop out if he doesn’t win tonight. I think he will win.

Looking ahead, Newt can take big states like Georgia, Ohio (Kasich will endorse Newt), Tennessee, Colorado, Minnesota, Arizona and Okalhoma. The process was set up to NOT have the nominee selected so quickly. They want to wrap it up quickly because the longer this goes, the tougher it will be for them. McCain doesn’t want them to debate anymore. Rubio is trying to declare Romney the nominee. It won’t work. There’s more of us than them and eventually that will come through.

Gingrich is definitely not dropping out. The game has just begun.

That may be the conventional thinking, I think if Gingrich doesn’t have a good showing in FL, it will motivate conservatives to go full hog on stopping Romney and propelling Gingrich like the GOP establishment has never seen, which in turn will make Romney even more vicious, then will make conservative madder still.
This is only the beginning.

Gingrich has stated over and over that he will not leave the race, today is just the beginning.

but if Gingrich just keeps it close, and I believe he will, then there is an excellent opportunity to re-emerge into leadership on Super-Tuesday.

I agree. And Romney has pretty much fired all his guns at once. Can we spell "overkill"?

Heard a Romney spot this morning - he's STILL telling the lie that Newt lobbied for Fannie / Freddie. That has been proven a lie and maybe in the month until Super Tuesday, Newt can list the lies told on him.

When they are all listed - maybe divide the total money Romney spent by the number of lies for something like

"Mitt Romney spent $650,000 each to tell these 20 lies about Newt Gingrich in Florida."

In the running for the dumbest post of the day.

Newt vows to 'go all the way to the convention'

He may be correct but it depends on the margin
If Romney wins by say 10 or more points then the money will flow even more his way and Newt will have to fight to be relevant. Romney will also get a lot of good press for winning with a decent margin. Next debate isnt until end of Feb so it will be hard for Newt to get a good news cycle if this happens.
If it is close with a ROmney win but say 5 or under then Newt will be in a far better position to battle it out.
Of course this assumes no big game changer emerges

He doesn’t have the money to continue, and Bachmann said she would continue after Iowa, but didn’t.

hUMMM. I thought it was the SC winner went on to be the nominee. So confusing.

We don’t even know who the FL winner is yet.

If Romney was not ahead in the Florida polling this statement would not have been made by Rubio.

If that's true it's no thanks to you, Marco Pollo-Mierda. You could have endorsed the only conservative with a chance against Obama, Newt Gingrich. Instead, you are sitting back and waiting to see who will win so you can hitch your career-climbing culo to him.

You're a mile wide and an inch deep. I hope the Tea Party turns you out in the next election.

I doubt the great unwashed even knew or know his middle name. McLame would not go there... I remember radio talk show hosts catching hell for going there.

he’s still going to win. The pubs are throwing up the next in line, a Obama lite...

Unless we stop them. Even then Newt, Paul or Santorum will have a uphill fight as well.

So did Perry..

I’m not saying.. I am just saying.

I think Newt will stay in.

Hopefully Rick will drop out. (I like the guy, but he’s fading)

I wish Rubio would not make such a statement.

It begs the question: Does he really believe that, or is he in reality just telescoping (letting us know) what he intends to do with his support - that he will declare his support for the winner of his state’s primary?

Rubio should be more independent and more of a leader in this situation. It seems clear that the “winner” in the Florida primary will have won - gotten the most votes, but only a plurality - while a MAJORITY of the votes, collectively, will go to the other candidates.

Rubio should not put himself in the position of pretending to “support the choice” of his state’s GOP voters, when in fact, the “winner” will not be a clear “majority” choice of the GOP in Florida.

Retract yourself Rubio. I like you too much, but I like you less for that position. By taking a different position you will not be disliked by a MAJORITY of the Florida GOP.

The "neutral" Rubio is playing games. He signaled his pro-Romney position with his attack on Newt last week.
