What part of the blog is wrong? Be specific, since it quotes from actual testimony.

I also wonder what you would have Paterno do? He was told a vague story , reported it and assumed it had been properly investigated. Reporting to school administrators , including the one responsible for University police (who had jurisdiction)was the most responsible thing to do, unless you support vigilantism?

Please remember he was a coach, not a detective.

What part of my assertions were wrong. You were not specific. Everything I claimed was 100% true - and if Paterno didn't know more about what McQuery knew happened in that shower - it was because he didn't want to know and didn't want it pursued. They DID work together for the NEXT TEN YEARS - and they DID both see Sandusky parading around “Happy” Valley with a bevy of young boys over those ten years - and they ALL thought that it was OK for Sandusky to continue being the head of a charity for “at risk” youth - so long as he didn't continue to do what he was doing on the campus of Penn State.

What he should have done is report it to the actual Police that night - not to campus officials in a couple days.

What he should have done is raise hell about anybody in “Happy” valley donating anything to “Second Mile”.

What he should have done is asked McQueary - sometime over the NEXT TEN YEARS - what happened in that shower - perhaps in reference to both of them seeing Sandusky with a young boy over the NEXT TEN YEARS - a not infrequent occurrence.

“Please remember he was a coach, not a detective. “

You made your points well. Earlier Sandusky was investigated by the DA. Nothing transpired. In the later event Joe told those responsible for the campus police. He told what he was told. He was not a witness.

Put ourselves in Joe’s positon. If someone told you that someone who worked for you was involved with a boy in the bathroom would you have gone to the local police or your boss in charge of your police to investigage. A Monday morning quarterback could now say Joe should have told McQueary to go to the police himself.
