The correct comparison would be if I didn’t feel the same way about a coach who knew a home for orphans was being burned down (or of a plan to do so) or used for molestation and not reporting it.
Not simply not supporting something. No one is mad at him for not campaigning against abusers in general.

The point, Mr. Rapid on the uptake, is that you misused a reference to Jesus, and weakly at that, to give some sort of religious ‘cover’ to a truly vile statement about what you wished for Mr. Paterno.
Whether he’s guilty in God’s eyes of something damnable you’ll never know until you get there, and then you can tell God to His face what He better have done to Mr. Paterno.
