I had no idea a .22 would be any good on a St. Bernard.

Christmas 2009 I got my Remington 700 SPS in .308 and it does a very effective job on whatever it gets aimed at.

I had no idea a .22 would be any good on a St. Bernard. That's why I had to use four rounds. I didn't have our 12 guage or the 3030,(was squirel hunting) and saw the St. Bernard with a coule of other dogs chasing the cows. Didn't have time to get the real guns and with my blood running hot decided to do what I could with what I got. Shot at the others but probaly missed as these escaped through the fence. The big Bernards wasn't as lucky as he got tangled up in the barbed wire fence. Walked up to him and point blank shot at him in the head. Then called the owners to get their animal off our property. We we very, very mad.
