As you probably know, there is a railroad right of way that runs through West Yellowstone and down to Idaho Springs and who knows where, but if the train still runs at all, it doesn’t in the wintertime.....we took the snow machines right down that railroad cut.....it was pretty nice sledding....something in the neighborhood of 20 miles. It’s also interesting how Idaho, Montana and Wyoming come together at that location. Thanks for the memories.

No, I didn’t know that. Always wanted to ride a sled — been into offroad bikes all my life — still hope to rent one some day. I do pick up a snowmobile magazine occasionally. Driving to Yellowstone in the winter (from WA State) a bit of a hassle, though.
