Lol, you not only support Big Brotherism, you are also anti-free market. One of the requirements for a free market is that buyers and sellers have knowledge as to product and price.
Producers of food know full well what raw materials they are using and where they came from and labeling has been part of selling products in the US for decades. Some producers fight GMO labeling and country of origin labeling on some products because they know some consumers will decline to purchase their products if that information is provided.
Freedom and free markets are a two way street, and buyers have a right to know what they are buying. That has long been recognized, and often fought by sellers who don’t want to provide the information.

And it's up to consumers to demand it from the producers. It's not the place of the Federal Government to force it at the point of a gun.

Then don't buy stuff from people who won't tell you where their stuff comes from. Maybe you need Mommy Government to do it for you, but I most assuredly don't. If a product isn't labelled with it's country of origin and ingredients, don't buy it. If it does and it has something you don't want in it or came from somewhere you don't like, then don't buy it.
But you have no right to go whining to Congress to force your preferences on the rest of the Nation, especially when Congress has no specific, enumerated Power under Article 1, Section 8 of the US Constitution.
