The real question here is why would anyone object to consumers having more information on which to base their purchasing decisions. Refusing to provide it is like some totalitarian society: government knows best and don’t ask questions. - There is also country of origin labeling legislation that has been bottled up for years.
It’s always odd to see posters at FR coming out on the side of big brotherism rather than greater information and free choice for those spending their money.
There is always some seller who does not want the consumers to have more information about what they are selling. Follow the money.

Let's think about this option for a tick, shall we? How about we let the consumer decide if they want to purchase unlabeled food products or not. Why that almost be like...oh...let me think for a minute...I have it! Letting people make up their own minds with their own dollars!
