After listening to Governor Rick Perry on the Sean Hannity Show, I couldn't help but be blown away by his good nature. What a great guy. You can hear in his voice how he has managed to keep his eye on a goal while working with others to achieve it. His respect for his political foes and his understanding of the the whole process inspired me. Naming names and demonstrating professional links to some of his fellow candidates was generous and kind. I'm going to continue to support Governor Perry but I would never encourage him to drop out. He adds too much to the overall debate to just be gone. I disagree with Jim on that issue. I will, however, take Jim's advice and calm down my criticism of other candidates. Governor Perry said they were all good people and I'll take his word for it. May the best man win. Donate to FReeRepublic.
ROFL This site purports to be 100% conservative. See any consensus here? Did you see 100% support for even all of the Republican candidates in 2010?
>> You are raised and learn morals from your parents and sometimes they dont do a good job.<<
How dare you purport to know what my morals are?
“Wow, classy. No wonder people hate Santorum.”
LOL. Classy response.
How dare you purport to know what my morals are?
You have no idea what generalities are. Come on now. You claim to be on this site for awhile and generalities are done all the time. I could not say anything negative about you at all. I don’t know you. And you know that. You are just trying to change the subject.
Hate to say I told you so.
Don’t you love it when people say that.
Because we all LOVE to say I told you so.
Newt wasn’t quite vetted enough. Big scandal coming out from second momma.
Oh, the Women.
Sorry, Perry attacking capitalism and fomenting bigotry against Santorum’s Catholicism is too much. I thought he had a good chance when he entered the race, but he has thoroughly disgraced himself.
Say what? Heres your quote.
>>You are raised and learn morals from your parents and sometimes they dont do a good job. Pity but it is true.<<
That looks rather specific if you ask me.
Good point. And I’m so guilty.
Being really nasty about other candidates is not a good way to attract people to the person you support.
Back in the Cain days, well, ya know Cain hated Perry and a little cadre of Cain supporters would send pings to each other to come on Perry threads and do the nasty on Perry.
You can bet it didn’t induce any of us to take another look at Cain.
At least not a favorable look.
I don’t know who you are for, but Newt was the big voice against Bain and Perry has never attacked capitalism.
Surely you are aware that Perry has fought for business and industry in Texas and has succeeded in bringing business here and helping the business that is here.
I don’t know what you’re talking about with the Catholic stuff. Just yesterday, Perry was defending the Catholic church against attacks by the Obama administration.
I don’t believe you ever liked Perry or you wouldn’t believe such ridiculous lies.
Perry is no good. I’m telling you cut a deal with Romney to stay in the race, He was all set to drop out the night of the Iowa caucus. Then he turns around and says he is going to fight on in SC? Sounds fishy to me! I’m willing to be Romeny called him, asked to stay in in SC to help split the Conservative vote three ways and that would put Willard over the top.
SO if Romney wins SC, wins the nomination and goes on to the White House and you see Rick Perry in his cabinet, you know what happened back in January.
“SO if Romney wins SC, wins the nomination and goes on to the White House and you see Rick Perry in his cabinet, you know what happened back in January.”
Pretty far-fetched. I would expect to see Herman Cain in a Romney Cabinet. I would expect to see Rick Santorum in a Romney Cabinet. I would expect to see Michele Bachman in a Romney cabinet. I would never expect Governor Perry in a Romney cabinet under any circumstances. I don’t think Mitt Romney will win the White House so your assumptions are a moot point.
“How dare you purport to know what my morals are?”
Thumbs up.
I’m willing to wait what is said or what proof there is.
Herman’s women came forward and it turned out they had nothing to say.
There’s at least a half chance she’s got nothing to say either.
“SO if Romney wins SC, wins the nomination and goes on to the White House and you see Rick Perry in his cabinet, you know what happened back in January”
So much for your condemnations.

Are you familiar with what he really did? Do you remember that the people he was giving instate tuition to have been in the state at least ten years and must have graduated from a Texas high school within the last three years? So, they have been living here as state residents for at least ten years. So, for that to cost the Texas taxpayer one must assume that they would have gone to college in Texas at the higher rate anyway. Would they have? Are they replacing out of state students who would have attended in their place? No!
So, where is the cost to the taxpayer?
They were illegal. All you have said is that he rewarded trespassers who had a history of living off the taxpayers’ education dollar for years. The cost to the taxpayer? Additional resources consumed at the universities for each additional student. Did out of state applicants who would have paid a higher rate get denied admission, perhaps. Did legal Texas Americans from get denied admission because a trespasser got admitted instead, perhaps.
Rick Perry proved me wrong.........and I’m glad he did.
