College Text Indoctrinates, Pushes 'Prophetic' Van Jones

How many ordinary Americans, much less 18 year olds, have heard the name Van Jones? If you've been engaged in the fight to hold onto the real American dream, you know him, but most law abiding citizens simply don't have the time or the will to be aware of all the destructive people threatening to tear our country down.

A college student brought to my attention a textbook she uses for public speaking class. The first chapter in The Art of Public Speaking by Stephen E. Lucas opens with a tribute to Anthony "Van" Jones "one of the most powerful and inspiring prophetic voices of our time." The author writes about Jones' humble beginnings in Tennessee and his finding his rhetorical voice in college.

Strangely, there's no mention of Jones' damage to his awestruck audiences because of a communist ideology which drives his every undertaking. In the second chapter, Lucas presents ethics in public speaking and tells readers that "the first responsibility as a speaker is to ask whether your goals are ethically sound." He writes about silver-tongued leaders who "condone war, invasion, and genocide," but "these are not worthy goals."

From their manifesto: "We upheld the Marxist critique of capitalist exploitation...we found inspiration and guidance in the insurgent revolutionary strategies developed by Third World revolutionaries like Mao Tse-tung and Amilcar Cabral."

Don't most people see the destruction communists have caused to society? Are these 'worthy goals'?

In another section of the textbook the author includes Margaret Sanger, the rabid eugenicist and birth control icon, with charismatic speakers like Abraham Lincoln and Winston Churchill as public orators who were afraid to speak in public. There's nothing like ......

It is high time seniors citizens 'go back to college' to speak the truth in class. Senior citizens have lived history, and as 'students' have the right to express their opinions.

What can the professors do to silence them? Flunk them?
