Been listening to him prattle on for a while tonight but as usual wasn’t watching; and then, I saw this thread and had to have a looksee. He rooks rike crap. Most noticeably his cheeks are sunken. And his voice is guttural and he’s got this zombie stare thing going on.

I rarely watch him but I thought the same thing a month or so ago..wondered if he is sick. Hope not.
I’d like to throw out anorexia...whatever it is I would hope the team doctors have taken notice and get him a thorough workup. Imagine how bad he looks sans warpaint.
I’ve noticed that his face seems to have aged, or looks sort of tired and sunken.
When you consider that television “adds 10 pounds” then he must really look bad in person.
My mother noticed the same thing a few weeks ago. Some have speculated he has AIDS. I don’t think any official word has been released.

I noticed weight loss a couple months ago - figured he was dieting. Saw him last week and he had dark circles under eyes and tons of makeup trying to disguise his appearance.
He looked like a corpse.
Didn’t see him tonite.
I went to high school with him at Marshall Academy, me being three years his junior. I would ask one of his old girlfriends from my hometown if he had any health problems in the past, but sadly I dont remember him having any.
Ironically, I never watch Shep and of course never think about him, either. But today for some reason I was thinking about the tsunami in Japan, where I happened to catch some of Shep’s reporting. And, I thought, seemed like he got pretty close to the radioactive zone.

Personally, I cannot stand the jerk - Shimp Smith... he is a condescending liberal a-hole... But, I believe his current weight loss is due to an excessive response to competition from Fox Business News... namely Lou Dobbs... Dobbs has created a clone of his former CNN show on FBN... in the same time slot as Shimp... 7:00 EST. Dobbs is reducing Shimp’s audience share and in response Shimp Smith is over doing it in an excessive diet in an effort to look younger - BUT ... Smith does not understand who his audience is or at least WAS... What we see is Shimp Smith Worried near to Death ....
Have noticed this for some time and he has taken time off with no explanation, think he has some type of Cancer or Aids!

I haven’t seen him in a while, until the other day, and I thought the same thing. He looks like he is wasting away. I googled his name and the word sick and on another site someone was asking this “How come all the reporters that went to Japan in March of 2011 are becoming ill?” I’m not sure if that is true or not, but an interesting question.
Have been wondering the same; though hardly his ‘biggest fan’; thought about writing and telling him to give up ‘vegan’ or whatever he was doing; and go reclaim his cheeks. The thinner he gets; the more years he loses. He now looks ten years older; in a matter of months. Thought, too; perhaps he is actually ill; but no mention of course. No viewer of Fox News, can miss the change in Shep.
