My daughter got a picture of a bald eagle at the corner of her street perched in a tree, rural area....Michigan, about 50 miles N. of Detroit...she was glad she had her camera with her...she is a birder and has lots of bluebirds nesting in her boxes. Watched an eagle eat one of her ducks, had a box for wood ducks on a branch over her pond and one year has them raise a brood...they would just drop out of the box into the water when ready to fledge...

Your daughter is sure lucky. I have to travel to isolated places here in the Interior West to watch wintering bald eagles. It's great to see them up close too. Truly a majestic bird.

And she has wood ducks too? That's not fair! Lol!

There is nothing more beautiful than a male wood duck in full breeding plumage.
