Sentimental attachment to Rush does not change the iron logic of Manning’s point. Bain own’s Clear Channel and Rush did equate Gingrich’s attack on Bain to an attack on capitalism.

Now that Rush has been busted, he is backtracking.

Sorry, I have no "sentimental attachment" to Rush. Clearly you are one of those who assumes that anyone who listens to Rush is a mind-numbed robot . . . which speaks to your intelligence and judgment.

What I do have is the ability to listen objectively without attachment to any one candidate. Rather, I have an attachment to conservative ideals, just as Rush has. Thus, Rush and his listeners, like me, are able to judge what is being said without it being distorted by our opinions of individuals involved . . . something which clearly escapes you.

Gingrich has self-destructed, because he has attacked Mitt on the one truly conservative strength he has and he has done so using liberal verbiage and arguments. Newt has been making the exact same argument that Obama and all of the Democrats have been making.

Bain owns Clear Channel . . . so what? What does that have to do with anything whatsoever? Do you even understand how the broadcast system works? Do you have a clue as to how dependent Clear Channel is on Rush? ARe you so clouded by your hatred of Mitt that you can't see that Rush dictates what he says and wouldn't obey CC it they did try to dictate to him?

LOL!!!! Rush hasn't backtracked one iota, it has been Gingrich who has backtracked in his attack. Maybe you should try listening to him before you attack him.

Back on Wednesday, Newt had this encounter . . . note his response:

"Wednesday the following in response to an Army Reservist in Inman, S.C., who said this to Gingrich:
“I’m here to implore one thing of you. I think you’ve missed the target on the way you’re addressing Romney’s weaknesses. I want to beg you to redirect and go after his obvious disingenuousness about his conservatism and lay off the corporatist versus the free market. I think it’s nuanced,” said Dean Glossop, an Army Reservist from Inman, S.C.
Gingrich seemed to step back from the brink:
“I agree with you,” Gingrich said. “It’s an impossible theme to talk about with Obama in the background. Obama just makes it impossible to talk rationally in that area because he is so deeply into class warfare that automatically you get an echo effect. … I agree with you entirely.”

Sounds like a major pull back to me.
