The question is this, how far will a Chevy Volt fly off the catapult?
Should the area in front of the JBD be marked as handicapped just to show what would happen to a non stickered vehicle?

If I recall correctly the ship will be there for what, one or two years for a refit?
Makes sense to save money bringing the crews vehicles along in this manner, way to go Navy!

SONOBUOY PING!

Click on pic for past Navair pings.
Post or FReepmail me if you wish to be enlisted in or discharged from the Navair Pinglist.
The only requirement for inclusion in the Navair Pinglist is an interest in Naval Aviation.
This is a medium to low volume pinglist.

The fun part about these kind of deployments is you can launch Chevy Volts off the bow Cats.

I grew up in Bremerton and I remember seeing this site many times on different flat tops.

First, the only other way to get vehicles owned by Navy sailors to their final destinations is to put them in another ship. Hardigree overlooks the fact that the squids could drive their POVs to Washington themselves.

What you're looking at is the deck of the U.S.S. Ronald Reagan covered in the vehicles of Navy Sailors heading to Naval Base Kitsap in Bremerton, Washington. At a cost of about $4.5 billion this is probably the world's most expensive parking lot.The cost of this parking lot is both comforting and frightening, depending on you political inclinations.
I'm in the "comforted" camp.
That is the amount that Obama and the wannabe socialists in Congress are spending every day (40% of which is borrowed money earning interest forever,) 365 days a year into the forseeable future.
The RINOS still don't get it. This is unsustainable, and the TEA Party is still right; spending it now and paying it back "someday" is a radical socialist's wet dream. Only the insane would consider that a rational compromise.
