Let me get this straight: The assumption is that it was lost there in its day, and has been there ever since?

So if John Glenn had lost a Ming vase while out collecting moon-rocks, that would prove what exactly?

I guess it would prove John Glenn went to the moon.

I have my grandfather’s cheap old double barrel, made before 1900. He never came to Idaho in his life, and yet, his gun is right here.
