"The Big Broadcast is a Sunday night tradition for families throughout the WAMU listening area. Each week, Big Broadcast host Ed Walker offers listeners priceless recordings of popular radio programs from the '30s, '40s and '50s. Priceless, especially, for a man whose first sentence as a child was, 'Turn the radio on.' "

When the cops go in firing teargas and a hail of bullets they find no one inside. Among the on-lookers was a young couple, Kenny and Evie. She is pregnant and frightened. Randy accompanies them back to their flat. It was Kenny who had tipped the cops to Sandlers being in the factory. Kenny and Sandlers had once been in the same gang, but he went straight when he met Evie. Now they fear that, if it's the last thing he does, Gig will get Kenny and Evie. When Randy leaves them Sandlers gets the drop on him and forces him to go back to the flat so that he can get access. Tense moments go by. The $2800 reward is mentioned. Then cop sirens are heard. Kenny offers to go out and face the cops with Gig. Gig goes out alone and the cops cut him down. Kenny had a gun the whole time but he didn't shoot Gig - because they were brothers. (29:28)
