The DPRK’s gear is fairly old, but that tank design is clearly from the 1950’s.

Wow.

Surprised me with his nice stature on the horse - and yes - what a beautiful horse. And while in America I wouldn’t judge someone on their belongings; but when commenting on N. Korea I think it is fitting to point out that horse lives better than probably 90% of the population.

Oh, yes. That glossy coat and well developed musculature are produced by a first-class diet.

Unlike most of the human population in NK.

The horse deserves a better master. Even though he has a nice, relaxed, deep seat at a pretty brisk canter.

Some of the more interesting nicknames that have come down the pike for him include “Pugsley”, “Pubert”, “The Great Suck”, “Overfed the Unready”, “Cartu-salam” (roughly Korean for “Cartman”.

>> Well, he doesn’t have a bad seat on a horse.

Don’t forget that even a stopped clock tells the time correctly twice a day. Check out his facial expression in photo #6:

“Ohhhhh, shittttttt, Dobbin is going waaaaaay tooooo fasssst for me.”

To me, the best part of the “photo spread” is the dappled gray horse. Good looking mount, and to be honest, I have to say that Chubby sits him pretty well, too. As a priviledged brat, he probably had riding lessons.

Either a Quarter Horse or a Thoroughbred, the steed reminds me of Tom Berringer’s mount in “Last of the Dog Men,” although that horse was actually a mare.

For his credit, Dukakis actually fit into a tank without a struggle.

Russian tankers couldn't be any taller than 5' 7" (183 cm). It let them build lower profiled tanks. Mike would have made Major General as a Russian tanker. The U.S. likes aggressive tankers (think Patton), and tall men seem to be more physically aggressive than short ones.

Tiger,

You, no doubt, already know this, but for others curious about what kind of tank Mr. Kim is driving, it is a PT-76 amphibious tank, a 1950s Soviet design armed with a 76mm main gun.

Widely used in the WARSAW Pact and 3rd World countries. U.S encountered them in South Vietnam (A Shau Valley?); LAW meat (when they are working - the LAWs, that is).

An improved version (85mm gun, IIRC) is manufactured by the Chinese.
