I used to wonder why Katy Perry chose the image she has, given that her parents claimed they were “good Christians” who “tried to raise her Christian”. I don’t wonder anymore.

I’m amazed at how the FR crowd has jumped to conclusions based upon an EXCERPT in the liberal rag THE SUN. I know Keith Hudson personally and while his style is different, he and his wife are doing ministry FOR PEOPLE and not for money as they have been ignorantly accused of right here. They are also conservatives politically and are on our side. They are changing people’s lives for good. It’s likely the excerpt was taken out of context. The comment about him still being on drugs is far from the truth as he has been redeemed from that lifestyle and helps others leave it as well. We’d be better off fighting the serious issues of morale decay facing our nation than shooting our own soldiers.

It’s rather hard to figure how it could have been said reasonably in any context.

Actually, i have read a number of quotes from him and his wife that raise eyebrows. And they clearly relish the crowds that their daughter brings in DUE TO THEIR advertising the fact that Katy is their daughter.

I never saw your response to my post in January, sorry. I think he’s more of an old fashioned hell fire and brimstone kind of preacher. Mostly my impression was that he’s in it for money. Katy’s rebellion is towards his old fashioned, very limited knowledge, theology. I doubt he’s a social justice new ager.

Katy’s half-uncle and aunt were screenwriting couple Frank and Eleanor Perry. She was Jewish as was one of Frank’s other wives. But I doubt the family was that close.
