After Governor Sarah Palins interview with Fox News Eric Bolling on the eve of the Iowa Caucus, I did a segment on my show where I stated that I will not be participating in any Sarah Palin reconsider or earthquake movements from now on. If you missed that segment you may listen here. I took some flak for it. Who cares. I believe after Palins interview with Bolling on Monday, she wasnt reconsidering at this time.

It is amazing to see you lose all sense of reasoning. The Lame Duck speech (did you read her words above?) was one of the worst speeches in political history. How can you believe that a person resigns because there was nothing left to do?
‘If’ there was nothing left to do, present some new ideas and keep fighting. I am truly dumbfounded how so called conservatives just are swallowing such a load.
You all were convinced that this move would allow her to run for president. She never intended to do that, but she did intend to take your money. And there were enough dopes out there to make her very, very, rich.
AK267 is correct. Under the book “Rules For Radicals” it’s called “making your enemy live by it’s own rules”. Some would call it “a thumpin”. It was more than just the ethics complaints, it was a strategy to essentially destroy her finances are reputation. The purpose of the ethics complaints, FOIA requests, legislature shutting her out, hit pieces was to make her situation so unbearable and hostile that she would have no desire to finish out her term.
Being neutralized as governor, she was essentially a lame duck. Worse, a lame duck with legal debt issues and with no one willing to help her. Heck, they even went after her legal defense fund.
Now Palin could of just hunkered down and bided her time....racked up more debt, rack up more expenses to the state (who had to investigate the ethics charges) and have a meme of having “ethics problems”, but that’s not just her style. By resigning, and helping in the elctions in 2010, she proved to be a game changer and a real supporter for the conservative cause. When she endorsed, checkbooks opened for said candidate. When she stumped, the crowds increased. When she spoke at events, the placed was packed.
If she made some money along the way so what? She’s got bills to pay and trust funds to set up for her children, especially Trig.
No, actually, ak267 is correct in his assesment.
and yes, you’re a knob who is biased against Palin and will make any snipe to make yourself seem big.
and yes, I saw her speech and after reading the factors for her resignation, agreed why she did it.
it appears that your bias has blurred your reasoning.
and yes, unlike some candidates, Palin has to work for a living and wasn’t born to a priviledged family, have friends in the MSM, backing of the elites and so on and so forth.
“Rules For Radicals” was applied to Palin. I hope your candidate can survive when it’s applied to him.
Why the hell do you people see some pathology in posters who simply see this woman for what she is-—an opportunist who took full advantage of a large group of emotional people and became very wealthy as a result?
I have no desire to make myself seem big, I just have an opinion. We disagree. There is plenty of disagreement on FR regarding political candidates, etc, but for some reason you Palinistas take this so personal that you must turn to insulting those who disagree. Call me a knob if it makes you feel better. High five yourself, pal.
If a liberal democrat resigned with a silly speech like this mid term, I would bet the farm that you would be all over him. It was the event that forever soured millions of people on Sarah Palin, and it was her own doing.
I thought the thread title was a story involving Lisa Murkowski.
Why the hell do you people see some pathology in posters who simply see this woman for what she is-an opportunist who took full advantage of a large group of emotional people and became very wealthy as a result?
Gee why don’t you ask something like “Hey, how long have you been hitting your wife?”
to insulting those who disagree
You mean like calling her an opportunist who’s only out to make money?
Call me a knob if it makes you feel better. High five yourself, pal.
Actually I feel quite fine....slap, slap...there, just high fived. By the way, I like spaghetti how about you?
If a liberal democrat resigned with a silly speech like this mid term, I would bet the farm that you would be all over him.
You mean there was a liberal Democrat who was once a VP pick, got crapped on with a massive MSM campaign, got whacked with over $500k in bogus ethics complaints, abandoned by the DNC, was consumed in lawsuits/FOIA/ethics complaints, had their reputation smudge by so called liberal stalwarts/pundits, had numerous smear books/magazine articles written on them, faced bankruptcy, locked out by the legislature, had their accusations on page one...but their acquittals on page 37, called an accessory to murder, was hung in effigy only to called “a joke”, had their church fire bombed, had their email account hacked, falsely accused of being investigated for fraud by the FBI and so on and so forth?
You have a Democrat which fits that description?
It was the event that forever soured millions of people on Sarah Palin, and it was her own doing.
Were those the same “sour millions” that are members of her Facebook page (3,252,785), who invited her to be the keynote speaker for CPAC 2012, the legions of Tea Party supporters, or the following politicians who accepted her endorsement (and the voters who voted for said endorsed)?

I guess "undefeated" was a poorly chosen movie title.
If she attempted to jump back in, the media would hammer her over the Glenn Rice story. She knows this. Stick a fork in her. She’s done.
After 2008 election, bamster’s minions began filing frivilous ethics charges (all 20 were proven false) that created a personal legal debt >$500k. In addition, the state of Alaska was racking up > $2Million in costs.
Palin’s salary: $100k
Palin’s legal debt: $>500k...and growing
Do the math.
It was an Alinsky tactic to destroy your opponent - in this case thru bankruptcy via filing false ethics charges to rack up more personal debt.
Sarah reloaded by stepping down and removed the Alinsky tactics.
Smart move on her part....and ironically the Alinsky-inspired B.Hussein gave her more power by his attacks on Sarah by freeing her from the confines of being Governor.
Regarding her endorsements...
Its a major leap in logic and reasoning to assume correlation equals causation. You have a correlation - (Palin Picked some winners). But, you can’t say she is the cause(of their election wins).
And - I think its kind of a slap in the face to the TEA Grass that did tons and tons of groundwork in that election cycle.
It seems to be a contradiction - a grass roots movement that is craving an omnipotent, top down, “kingmaker,” style of leadership.
Well as we all know Newt is the smartest guy in the race. Anyone would be wise to court Sarah Palin. As you can see she still has her army here just waiting for our marching orders.
Knowing that “all 20 charges were proven false” doesn’t help the case. If Palin would have been vindicated in the long run - she surely should have stayed the course.
More power? I just dont see where she has any “power” or appeal at all now. She may have incredible power and unlimited devotion over a few, but thats not what makes a movement.
Especially when you have a group of self-appointed folks running ads in Iowa for a candidate that doesn’t exist. Newt was smart to get her name into the mix and try to co-opt some of the Palin “voters.”
The insulting that I speak of is personal insults toward other posters. Your response proved exactly what I said. Any negative comments about Palin bring insults from her minions. You people cannot handle any discourse without insults. My statements about Palin is simply my opinion. I don’t revert to calling you ‘knob’ because you have a different opinion.
The facebook thing is getting old. Polling is more accurate, Palin would get hammered by Bamster.
And for the record, I would support both Newt and Santorum as the nominee.
You are wasting time typing out your defense of Palin on me.
I have no problem with the money that palin made since quitting but I am not going to pretend that she has not focused almost all her energy since then on personal wealth acquisition...she has. Those who want to believe that she is a powerful but reluctant St. Joan of the Americas, driven by nothing but pure patriotism and guided by the voice of God whispering in her ear are delusional. They must willfully ignore her pecuniary pursuits in favor of her occasional tweet if they are to maintain the illusion.
Oh gawd, that came from the Joe McGinnis book. A book that has been thoroughly discredited. He’s the one who rented a house next to the Palins and engaged in back alley gossip.
http://www.nytimes.com/2011/09/15/books/joe-mcginnisss-the-rogue-on-sarah-palin-review.html
Mr. McGinniss did in 2011 make a phone call to the former N.B.A. basketball player Glen Rice, who is black, and prompted him to acknowledge having fond memories of Sarah Heath. While Mr. Rice avoids specifics and uses the words respectful and a sweetheart, Mr. McGinniss eggs him on with the kind of flagrantly leading question he seems to have habitually asked. In Mr. Rices case: So you never had the feeling she felt bad about having sex with a black guy?
With the same imprecise aim he cites conspiracy theories that Ms. Palin may not be the mother of her youngest son, Trig, and questions the circumstances under which he was born
Since absolutely nobody connected with The Rogue seems to lack ulterior motives, there is one here as well. Mr. Johnstons sputtering career has produced a memoir, Deer in the Headlights. Next week it will compete for attention with The Rogue, when both are officially published on the same day.
Read the rest of the review, it’s a hoot as one professional writer wipes the floor of a once-noted writer now turned hack.
Breitbart also broke a story about McGinniss emails to and from his publishers. It seems his editors weren’t too happy about the vetting of the book and were asking for additional details (this was after he submitted his final version and the contracted time was shortly coming). McGinniss scrambled to contact local bloggers in Alaska asking for confirming information....the same bloggers who provided the rumors. Good luck with that Joe.
Can you saw lawsuit???
So much for your source Ronald. Thank you for playing.
Matt,
You’re wasting my time with your sniping comments. Criticism on her personal policies is one thing, people engaging in such comments as “she’s stupid”, “money grubber”, putting a trademark next to her name, calling her a quitter (while ignoring the tactics the forced her out) and citing a book by Joe Mcginniss is another.
Your kind flames us with accusations then gets indignant and hoity when we defend her. Go fig.
Good luck with Newt and Santorum. When they get the Palin treatment (and they will) from the Saul Alinsky book don’t go crying and asking for defenders.
Steve Bannon commented why he chose the title “Undefeated”. It wasn’t about Palin’s win/loss record it was about the ideals and spirit of the conservative movement.
More power? I just dont see where she has any power or appeal at all now. She may have incredible power and unlimited devotion over a few, but thats not what makes a movement.
eyes rolling on that comment....I’ll make sure to tell the over two million FB participants in her group, the politicos who’ll want her to speak at their rallies and the candidates who’ll want her help that she’s a has-been.
