They made him out to be a badass in the Right Stuff, but that pales in comparison to the book. I wonder if there’s more than a handful of men alive today who would even seriously consider doing for money the things he volunteered for willingly.

And dragging his wounded buddy over the alps was just incredible.

Its been 20 years or more since I read it and I remember a lot of specifics about the book.

And then going to his commanding general and being ‘incredibly persuasive’ in getting back on the flight line, which at the time I guess was not allowed. Mr. Yeager is invincible.
