I felt under Cutler they had a good chance to go 12-4. I even felt that if the defense showed up they might take GB. Hanie was worthless. I have to give McCowen credit. He played well and gave it his all. Just too little too late. When Forte went down I thought the running game would suffer but Bell played very well. Too bad about Knox. Probably will never be the same.
Side note, be great to see who the Colts draft. Andrew Luck or Robert Griffin III?
Since realignment that took place in 2002 the Cowboys are 86-74 (tied for 11 with three teams). 4 teams with better records have yet to record a Super Bowl win, including the two teams that are tied with Dallas.
As my late brother used to say, you can divide the coaches in the NFL into two groups; those who have been fired, and those who are going to be.
Are you serious? Are you on Jones’s payroll or something. Talk about over your shoulder boulder holder
Id like to see whoever calls the plays for the Broncos to be fired. That was a seriously crappy called game yesterday.
Saints D is not consistent. Dallas has a better D. We just have a great QB. Dallas has a better back up QB and maybe time to let McGee have his shot next year. Point, if Romo went out, the team would function better.
Jimmy Johnson built that Superbowl winning team ... with Jones' assistance. When Jones wanted to play a bigger role, Jimmy left leaving switzer to ride the coattails into the next Superbowl. My granny could've "coached" them to a SB win that year. It's been downhill since then. And it will not return to that glory if Jones doesn't quit interfering.
Norv Turner should return to Dallas as Offensive Coordinator.
You don't see the Bronco's beating the Steelers, do you? I'll pull for them anyway.
Which proves me right. They’re a 500 team, in the middle 3rd of the league, without a whiff of the SB. That’s what the Cowboys are under Jones. And that’s cutting off for re-alignment in 2002, take it all the way back to start after their last SB (so 1996) and you add 44-52, giving them a record of 130-126 with 7 playoff appearances and 2 playoff wins, so with playoff worked in the record is 132-133.
That’s the last 16 years of Jones the GM. Yeah the first 6 went great. The last 16 they’re a 500 club, no SB wins, no SB appearances, not even any conference finals appearances. Most GMs with a record that consistently mediocre get fired.
Blame Jerry Jones, the GM, who has had horrible drafts over the past few years.
When your QB only completes 27% of his passes it really doesn’t matter what you’re calling.
There’s always the Al Davis solution.
You can bet Matt Flynn’s agent has been very busy this morning.
Yeah, blame him because the head coach is too much of a wimp to insert his advice? Or maybe he is going by what Garrett is recommending? Blame everyone but the guys calling the plays and playing on the field. LOL
I blame Jerry for the hire....never hire a head coach without previous head coaching experience (being an interim head coach doesn’t count)....it’s a whole other thing than being a coordinator. It’s clear that Garrett was still learning on the job this season, he had terrible situational awareness at crucial times.
BTW, are you guys watching the SEC dominating the Bowl games today? Also happy to see Houston putting it to Penn State.
Where was this Florida team all year?
