Hmm--Not sure. On my monitor, I see a wider column there, with the text left aligned properly. It takes less than half the column width.

My display is 1680x1050 on a Dell P2210, with Firefox maximized on this screen.

Thanks. It's a browser-specific issue. Worked for me in Firefox.

Even with a good 'reset' CSS, a web designer deals with browser-specific issues. Lots of them for IE6, and CSS rounded corners, transparency, shadows, and @font-face are handled differently by IE and mozilla than other browsers.

I just didn't expect something as established as tables to be treated differently by different browsers.
