When I was at Boy Scout Camp, when I was about 12, I tried picking up a scorpion (they were tiny, only about 2 inches long) and it was like a bee sting. Who knew there were scorpions in Oceola, MO? There were also ant-lions, which were amazingly tiny - I really never realized just how small they were from the nature shows, but your basic black ant dwarfed these things. But they could take down those big ants, and were really cool to watch.
One thing about scorpions I did learn... The smaller the pincers, the more potent the venom. For the most part, if the scorpion has big pincers, it doesn't really need the sting that often.

It’s good to know my Venom isn’t very potent.
