Good thing they shot it. If it didn’t run from people after getting hit by a shovel and having 4 officers respond, it had no fear of humans. This is another problem due to the woodsy-the-owl enviroweenies. Preditors need to know who is at the top of the food chain.

About ten years ago we had trouble in my area with cougars stalking people. Fortunately, our DNR people still have enough sense to track and kill problem lions. Of course, there were the usual protests from the Earth First! attention whores, whose home base is here, but they were pretty much ignored. That was when the jerk Rodney Coronado got arrested the last time, for interfering with the hunt.
