I don't see it as a two house theory as some so, I see it as a broken house, PERIOD. It is no different when a family is broken, the mother and father split and often this causes division among the children because some are faithful to both parents while some completely disrespect both parents by pitting them against each other in order to gain personal gratification in getting what they want whether it is good for them or not.
IMO, this is what happened with the children of Israel when they went into the land and settled. Some respected the Father and others didn't thus YHVH gave a writ of divorce to one, but to the other who had also sinned but never forgot the Father, He did not divorce them, he merely sent them into exile(time out) for a while. [Jer 3; Jer 31; Romans 7]. According to Torah, divorce is final unless/until the husband dies. That is the “Good News”, that Yeshua died to take away the penalty of divorce. The law of divorce that kept them from entering back into the fullness of the covenant was gone, kapput, and they are now free to return and be prepared to once again his bride if they should chose to do so. There is a reason Yeshua had so many followers, they all knew Torah and knew very well about the writ of divorce that YHVH had handed down. This is the mystery spoken of, It is why Yeshua talked in parables. Because only those (the lost sheep)would understand and it was only the lost sheep that he came for.
(instructions to disciples on where to find the lost sheep) Mt 10:5 These twelve Jesus sent out and commanded them, saying: “Do not go into the way of the Gentiles, and do not enter a city of the Samaritans. 6 But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel
Jer 50:6 “ My people have been lost sheep. Their shepherds have led them astray; They have turned them away on the mountains. They have gone from mountain to hill; They have forgotten their resting place.
Psalms 119:176 I have gone astray like a lost sheep
Mt 13:10 And the disciples came and said to Him, “Why do You speak to them in parables?” 11 He answered and said to them, “Because it has been given to you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them(gentiles) it has not been given." [in context Mt 13; Mark 4; Luke 8]
(the woman at the well) Mt 15:24 But He answered and said, “I was not sent except to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.”
It is really no mystery if one studies with discernment, that is guidance from YHVH, so that one can be shown to be approved.
2 Tim 2:14 Remind them of these things, charging them before the Lord not to strive about words to no profit, to the ruin of the hearers. 15 Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. 16 But shun profane and idle babblings, for they will increase to more ungodliness.
In the time Yeshua, the disciples and the Apostles walked, taught and preached the "Good News" to man on earth only one set of Scriptures existed, Torah and the Prophets and it is from those Scriptures that everything in the 1st century writings must be held to lest it deny Yeshua is Messiah and thus rendering the Word of God nothing but heresy. If we want definition to words, we do not need any dictionary derived from man or that of man's theologies. All we need is the Word of God that Yeshua & his followers taught & preached from and was read in the synagogues every sabbath. PERIOD.
