He didn’t just not get reelected, he suffered the worst loss of any incumbent Senator in history. He is a pure politician and shameless opportunist and the people of Pennsylvania recognized that.

Given the dynamics of the 2006 elections in PA and the son of a state king being the opponent, Ronald Reagan wouldn't have polled any better.

A pure politician he is not. If he were, you would see numerous position changes over the course of his career. As far as being a shameless opportunist, where are you getting that idea from, particularly while you yourself are supporting a guy who has made a career of running for President?
