When the Swimmer made this speech did he have any idea it would pop up in an ad for..Ronald Reagan? That's right, "Democrats For Reagan" used Teddy's speech to bash Carter. Those were the days! Two comments on the video: "Kennedy was talking about Jimmy Carter. Reagan used it to crush Jimmy when the demos didn't nominate Kenndy because murdering the girl kept him back." and--- "May God bless and save Ronald Reagan; had the honor of serving under him when he was our President; also attended his funeral services in 2004 in DC; quite awesome; 5000 visitors PER hour pour into the Capitol Rotunda to pay their respects to this great man; I waited 2 hours myself in line, but it was worth it! He will be sorely missed....RIP"

I hope somebody somewhere recorded the legions of people who filed into the capitol rotunda round the clock to pay their final respects to President Reagan.

It was truly the most diverse collection of people I've ever seen in my life. Even the migrant workers came out of the fields to line the motorcade route as it made its way up the hill to the final resting place for his earthly remains at the Reagan Presidential Library.

I remember Ted's visit to a farm elevator in SE Iowa when he was trying to unseat Jimmah Cahtah...
Ted was surrounded by a group of farmers when he looked down the rails and asked, “How's the service out here on the Wabash ?”

(It was as if to say that he understood farm folks were being taken advantage of by the railroad fat cats and he would do something about it when elected president.)

The question puzzled the Iowegians since it had been more than 100 years since the Wabash had served Iowa...

Ted was as big an @sshole as was his old man.

The old man was saddling up to the Nazis and had to be pulled back by FDR.

We can all remember Ted, Backstabbing Reagan and the Country by cuddling up with the Kremlin.

I recall Carter saying Chappaquiddick ought not to be an issue — virtually every day.
