I love mountains, lakes and oceans, but usually in northern places. The exception would be in late winter, on the ocean in Florida, Bermuda or Puerto Rico. In the summer we usually vacation in Maine, on a lake, and fish for smallmouth bass. There is nothing that compares to a day on the lake. :)

I haven't seen Anoreth lately. How is the cutest redhead in Panama City doing? :)

Hanging around home with the greyhound (see tagline) until the end of this week, when she’ll be heading up to Cape May to do something with her newly-minted Gunner’s Mate rating. Can’t have a dog in base quarters, but if she puts a dish of food on her doorstep, she’ll soon have catz ;-).

She’ll miss the new baby, which isn’t due for another couple of weeks.

One of my Spanish choir-ladies was in Puerto Rico (where she was born) for most of October and November. She said it was dreadfully hot this year, and the ocean full of jellyfish and sharks. I have a cousin in Maine - she has a baby due soon, and her parents were complaining about having to go up there in winter (as well as to their other daughters in Minneapolis and Buffalo, NY), but say it’s wonderful in the summer.

I’ll be happy to stay here in the dull Charlotte suburbs until I die.
