dang.
I am getting to the point I can’t trust my memory anymore. When I watched that movie I was stunned at the ending and yelled at the TV “No! He falls in with the ring!” I could’ve sworn the last chapter of the book was sam going back to the shire by himself.
Ya know what else? I read the hobbit too. And I can’t remember a single dam thing about it. It is a total and complete blank.
Organic coconut oil.
Which reminds me. I should start taking it again.
Some read Shakespeare until it is memory, some read Greek tragedies and commit them to memory ... I have read the Trilogy of the Rings so many times, I’m sick of it, but yet I read them again. Sick I know, but I can’t help myself.
No, Sam and Frodo (and company) return to hobitville and kick some series ass.
No.
Frodo didn’t die in the lava in the book. He lost a finger when Gollum bit it off to get the ring.
Gollum then fell into the lava and perished.
Not sure whats worse, someone who can’t remember what the Hobbit was about or someone who CAN remember the difference between the Vanyar, Nolder, and Teleri and how Feanor is Fingolfin and Finarfin’s half brother.
If the 2 Hobbit movies make big money like LOTR, they just have to find a way to make the Silmarillion.
Movie 1 - ends at Fingolfin’s arrival back in Middle Earth (Star Wars-a new hope)
Movie 2- ends at Fall of Gondolin (Empire Strikes Back)
Movie 3- ends at Valar’s final war on Morgoth (Return of the Jedi)
Movie 4- ends with fall of Numenor
Movie 5- ends with last alliance
