My wife gave me a tablet for Christmas. Viagra! Do you think she’s trying to tell me something?
:) Enjoy your tablet.
This library management tool would be worth your while for ebooks:

Together with plugins from Apprentice Alf you can strip copy protection from the ebooks you buy and format shift them as needed. Recently the .Lit standard (once the largest market sector) was abandoned so it behooves you to format shift whatever books are important to you as the years progress.
Nice. I’ve kind of lost my Linux enthusiasm of late, but I still read up on some of it.
I bought my wife an Ipad 1 last year, and I bought a Samsung tab for me a couple of months ago. The iPad 10” screen is so worth it. The Samsung only has 7” of real estate, and I find it difficult to type. I like both. If I had to choose, I’d probably stay with the iPad, but the lack of flash bugs the heck out of my wife. Maybe the Samsung in 10” would be the best of both worlds. But I have zero intention of screwing around with it, rooting and stuff. If it doesn’t work out of the box, I get impatient and leave it lying around, unused.
How much will you have to pay a month? (I’m looking at options for tablets, and this does look interesting.)
Hope you enjoy your new toy!
I usually don’t get hyped on techie gizmos, as I work in IT all day...but, I reeeealy want a tablet, specifically the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1. A close second is the Motorola Xyboard.
Just can’t justify spending $500+ on it. Maybe someday...
You’ll love it. I got Galaxy 10.1 that replaced my original 7” Galaxy tablet for Christmas myself. I’m loving the hell out of it.
I can save you some time though. Since your device is running 2.3 like my old tab, don’t bother looking at the tablet apps in the android market. In android speak, tablet apps are for Honeycomb (3.0) and later.
