Unusual for all puppies to survive in a litter this large.
Mom must have gotten LOTS of help.
Having bottle fed a kitten I got at 4 weeks, not weaned, I can't imagine how much work 15 new puppies were.

It was she, in fact, who was the 100 and first dalmation. Actually, the 101st Dalmatian was Prince, not Perdita.

When I was a kid we had a dog that had 15 puppies at once - she was a small dog (mutt) and they were killing her, so my dad put half of them in a garbage bag and stuck it on the tailpipe of the car until the bag stopped moving. I guess he would go to prison for that today.....

Biggest litter I ever had was 11. So much work, but mostly as they got older and had to be carried outside several times a day to facilitate potty training. Fortunately Moms always were able to do their part without help. I’ve had friends who have lost bitches before tho and had to hand raise litters. It is brutal.

Emma had 3 litters of nine, before we spayed her... the last two with Goofy Rufie... Lots of work... But a slobbery puppy is worth the effort...

Best litter size, in my opinion, is 7. Enough, but not too many. I had a singleton once, and they end up fat and spoiled. :)

9 wasn’t so bad but, the first litter had a black sire with a champion bloodline, but... eight boys one girl ... hard to tell apart...

With goldens they are always difficult to tell apart. I always put different colored ribbons on them at birth and keep notes. Funny, I often recall puppies by ribbon colors years later, and they are still Yellow Girl or Blue Boy to me. :) (and for some reason Yellow Girls are usually naughty! LOL)
