The article says the home is provided by Operation Finally Home, not the football team.

Like so many times around here the title of the article is way off. That is the fault of yahoo. My issue is that the article's title gives the impression that the Texans are giving her a house. They are not.

Maybe I'm a bit too sensitive because I know the people that are actually doing the work. I'm absolutely too sensitive because I have been involved in some of these projects and have seen politicians shove their way in and take credit where it is not due. Also some of the local "rich and famous" who give a couple of bucks then act like they really did something.

Overall, almost everyone that steps in to help a veteran does so with the right things in their hearts. I was involved in one project for a veteran with a brain injuury. It was several years ago and involved buying the veteran something for Christmas. We needed to raise $7,500. We had no idea what we were doing. We had never raised money before. The things that happened in the short month leading up to Christmas were, simply put, magical. The people that came out to help us were amazing. We raised so much money so fast we had to ask people to stop sending it. We ended up with more than twice what we set out to raise and gave all the extra money to the Wounded Warriors.

Nothing against you or even yahoo. I just want to make sure credit is given where credit is due...
