"Americas first black female secretary of state is quietly positioning herself to be the top choice of the eventual Republican presidential nominee, ready to deliver bona fide foreign-policy credentials lacking among the candidates. The 56-year-old has recently raised her profile, releasing her memoir in November and embarking on a monthlong book tour."

I was thinking more of Newt and West. West is a reasonable, patient man. It’s my belief that he would have a moderating effect on Newt’s brilliant but uncontrolled all-over-the-place ideation. West is really very presidential and has a great role to play for this nation.
The crisis is that those who should be making America stronger, are busy destroying American jobs and manufacturing in the name of “free trade”.
The people who should be helping, are instead joining the problem.
“Condoleezza could accept VP nod”
No.
Haven’t we learned ANYthing?
The first objective is to elect a Conservative as President, not a liberal in Republican's clothing. People seemed to have forgotten that.
And many of us are tired of holding our noses and voting for lesser evils. A vote for a lesser evil is still a vote for evil, and we're not going to do it anymore. And if the Republican Party and the country burn for it, then so be it. The country deserves the government and President it elects. Period.
Well I cannot speak for you, but I’ve learned that we as a party are like a bucket of crabs.
Every time one of our side starts to climb up the side of the bucket, a bunch of other crabs drag them down.
What have you learned?
In early December 2008, Rice praised President-elect Barack Obama’s selection of New York Senator Hillary Clinton to succeed her as Secretary of State, saying “she's terrific”. Rice, who has spoken to Clinton since her selection, said Clinton “is someone of intelligence and she'll do a great job”.
Rice said “If you go back to 2000 when I helped the president in the campaign. I said that I was, in effect, kind of libertarian on this issue. And meaning by that, that I have been concerned about a government role in this issue. I am a strong proponent of parental choiceof parental notification. I am a strong proponent of a ban on late-term abortion. These are all things that I think unite people and I think that that's where we should be. I've called myself at times mildly pro-choice.”
Conservative criticism According to the Washington Post in late July 2008, former Undersecretary of State and U.N. Ambassador John R. Bolton was referring to Rice and her allies in the Bush Administration whom he believes have abandoned earlier hard-line principles when he said: “Once the collapse begins, adversaries have a real opportunity to gain advantage. In terms of the Bush presidency, this many reversals this close to the end destroys credibility... It appears there is no depth to which this administration will not sink in its last days.”[107]
Former Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld repeatedly criticized Rice after their terms in office ended.[clarification needed] In 2011 she finally responded, saying that Rumsfeld “Doesn't know what he's talking about.”[108]
Former Vice President Dick Cheney's new book, In My Time suggested that Rice had misled the president about nuclear diplomacy with North Korea, saying she was naïve. He called her advice on the issue utterly misleading.” He also chided Rice for clashing with White House advisors on the tone of the president's speeches on Iraq. And says the secretary of state “tearfully admitted” that the Bush administration should not have apologized for a claim the president made in his 2003 State of the Union address on the supposed search for uranium. She came into my office, sat down in the chair next to my desk, and tearfully admitted I had been right,” Cheney wrote. Rice responded: “It certainly doesn't sound like me, now, does it?”, saying that she viewed the book as an attack on my integrity.”[109]
Rice has also been criticized by other conservatives. Stephen Hayes of the Weekly Standard accused her of jettisoning the Bush Doctrine.[110] Other conservatives criticized her for her approach to Russia policy and other issues.[111] Many criticize Rice in particular for her opposition to the change of strategy in Iraq and surge in U.S. forces that began in 2007.[112]
I have seen it in print that she voted for obama.

Think I’ll agree with Condi on this one. :D
You can bet your life that Rummy didn’t vote for obamao but condi and powell both did.
LLS
Do you think that Romney/Rice will repeal 0bamaCare?
Do you think they'll reduce the size of gubmint?
Do you think they'll secure the borders and deport the millions of border jumpers that are already here?
If you don't believe that they'll do any of the above (and if you do believe they'll do any of the above then you're fooling yourself) then precisely what do 'we win' with left of center establishment repubs in the Oval Office?
It would be nice if there was one on the ballot for us. But there isn't.
I will be voting against Barack Obama.I hope others will join me, regardless of how perfect the GOP candidate is or is not.
Obviously Rummy is a racist, not unlike Rice/Powell.

Good one!

I wholly agree with your comment.
As Voltaire said, “the perfect is the enemy of the good.”
Now, some opine, correctly, that a particular republican candidate is not “good” on one or several issues. They are certainly correct.
But for me, ABO.
Personally, I like a Newt/Cain ticket, but I will vote against Zero and all democrat candidates.
Excellent quote for our situation.
I am blown away by the number of freepers who currently claim they will not vote for Mitt (or insert any other imperfect candidate here). What good is it to make a statement by voting third party or staying home just because there is no Reagan on the ballot? It will only result in more Obama, and his second term will be a death blow to our nation. But the stubborn freepers really will have made their point, huh?
I will vote against Zero and all democrat candidates.
That is the only patriotic position to take. I hope more freepers will see the light.
They talked about this on Hannity tonight (Fred Thompson the guest host-no hannnity). Shannon Tweed said she would like Marco Rubio. The guy from the marshall RTucker band said he liked Condi but liked Perry better and Bob Beckel was Bob Beckel.
According to Cheney, she was the cut throat who demanded Bush tell the public there were no WMD which cut his throat and the GOP’s throat.
Condi is a good State Department citizen of the world. I would rather whoever is president, they get a conservative VP who has a track record of small government reform.
I made an error in my prior post. Instead of Cain, I meant to write West.
