These kinds of stereotypes are just as dumb as the Windows vs Mac stereotypes. The most liberal person I know uses an iPhone. The most Conservative person I know also uses an iPhone. Do they have anything in common? They both make $350,000 - $500,000 a year. They are both white and both are male, and both like gadgets. That's about it.

I know an awfully lot of people with iPhones and most (by about 3 to 1) are far right wing wackos like me.

I work at a hospital, now if I worked at a university I would probably see your point. Of course, mine is an observation of a small group (50ish people) - yours is just a wild assed guess.

My youngest son, 2 PET/CT Techs, a physician recruiter (liberal), our Workforce Safety Coordinator, and a Manager that reports to me have all dumped their Androids in the last 4 months and bought iPhones. So, if I use the same scientific surveying techniques that you used, it appears to me that “almost all Android robotoids I have come across” have dumped their Androids and bought iPhones.

I can make ridiculous and unfounded statements just like you! So, am I right too?

This is what I LOVE about Free Republic....and observe so very frequently. The experience of the POSTER is ALWAYS the experience of everyone else (or so it SHOULD be in their mind)...and their world view is CERTAINLY the same for everyone else. It reminds me of Pauline Kael, the film critic for The New Republic and The New Yorker, who said: "I can't believe Nixon won...I don't know anyone who voted for him."

Joe...there is a PLANET outside of your experience. On my planet...which is FULL of conservatives (I'm a preacher [SBC] and a military man)...90% of us who have smart phones have iPhones. My right-wing family and in-laws all have iPhones...most of my preacher friends have iPhones.
