The lady down the street used to walk her dog over to my lawn for a crap every morning, then walk him home.

If you know where she lives, why not deliver the poop back to her. It's up to you how and where it is placed.

Probably should have. It took me awhile to determine the source, but once I did I chose the passive approach - planted a hedge.

She since moved & her dog is squatting on someone elses lawn, presumably.
