I'd love to have a cheap, high-def, wall-sized tv you could apply like wallpaper!

Pinging the HDTV list..
HDTV PINGS!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Interested in the HDTV ping list?
Please Freepmail me(freepmail works best)if you would like your name added to the HDTV ping list,(approximately 375 freepers are currently on the HDTV ping list).
The pinged subjects can be HDTV technology, satellite, cable, and OTA HD reception (Over The Air with roof top or indoor antennas), Broadcast specials, Sports, Blu Ray/HDDVD, and any and all subjects relating to HDTV.
LVD
Note: if you search Freerepublic using the keyword " HDTV ", you will find most of the past HDTV postings.
Oh, hadn’t considered that. I’d love to know how far our spooky types have taken cloaking technology. I’ll bet it’s way beyond where we think it is.
To: PA Engineer
Exactly what I thought years ago when this tech was reported.
IR would be one of the only ways to see through this kind of tech.
Hmmm?
Could the fictional cloaked alien technology in Schwarzenegger's film “Predator” be with us in the next 25 years??
To: Las Vegas Dave
Thats a scary thought.Somebody could be standing in your front yard spying on you a you would never know it.
I'll be happy if I can just sit in my easy chair all day watching tv without anybody knowing it! :-)
Seriously, if someone had asked me, back when the movie came out, I would've said cloaking technology was hundreds of years in the future if it was possible at all. Now look at us. It appears there are several plausible ways to achieve it even, perhaps, by means of advances in television technology. Unbelievable!
Ooooo.... imagine changing the decor of your house by simply changing the channel of the “wallpaper” . Flippin killer application for interior design. Not to mention for watching NASCAR football or Iron Man.
I tried infrared emitting quantum dots for labeling biological samples for imaging a few years ago, and was disappointed in their performance. They did not fluoresce as brightly as regular infrared dyes in imaging.
Perhaps they will work better in HDTV applications and the like. I don’t know. But in my experience, they did not live up to the hype.
