I saw this on a friend's Facebook page and found it a few other places but not on FR.

Why would someone do this? Isn’t it against the law to wear a military uniform when one is not in the military.

I know plenty of Marines who would punch this bung-hole in the stomach so hard he’d be doubled up for a month.
Like me, for example.

This POS, f’ed from the ground up, kick to sleep candidate should have some real Marines do Riverdance on his sorry backside.
Unfortunately, this “Stolen Valor” is only a federal misdemeanor.
The only ribbons this guy should be weapon is on his back. From a cat o’nine tails.

HOLY CARP!
I was a zoomie (just a cook, actually, last time around), and I didn't get get more than 2 1/2 rows of ribbons (including the 'I didn't get arrested in the last 4 years' one)... But...
Even I know that the left side of the ribbons must line up. Right side can go under the lapel, or whatever... but there shall be a gig-line along the left edge of the ribbons.
Maybe the Supremes believe stolen valor is protected speech, but we, the people, can out them and shame them.

The star on his one award is upside down. His trousers don’t fit. And, his butter bars are misplaced.
And I’m AF and don’t know shTT about the USMC.

You guys, I think he's a 16- or 17-year-old Marine wannabe. Possibly trying not to be gay, to judge by the way he looks and stands. Beating him up is not the solution to a kid who's lying about being something good. The solution is to take him aside and show him that if he cleans up his act and behaves in an honorable way, he really could be a Marine and earn those medals. One kind and manly older guy could change a dumb teenager's life.
I know, I know--I sound like a mom. My boy really is going into the Marines this spring. The only reason he's survived high school and made his life a good one is that two US Army officers have kindly guided him during his teen years. Yelled on him a lot, but they helped him out. Otherwise he might be a jerk like this dumb kid.

What the hell is that? Nice pants, Percy. Who sandblasted your belt buckle for you? Same guy who issued you the Oscar de la Renta frames? Nice, Percy. Real FReeping nice.
When I think of all the mean things I've said about Marines over the years (all of them deserved, naturally) and I see something like that I want to make a crawling, public apology. That isn't a Marine. That never could be a Marine on his best day, and every one of us who had the honor to serve with a Marine would know that in a microsecond. What that miserable, puling, diaper-crapping thing in costume is I'd be banned for putting in print.

Is it me or are those ribbons in rather random order?
