I agree. If not family members, there is always charity-who buy the way will probably get the money once the cat is gone.
Anyway, I didn't read the article but if there are pissy family members, they might have a case. When Leona Helmsley died, she left her money to her dog. Family sued and I THINK won.

I would think anyone could sue and win...her next door neighbor, her mailman, her garbage man, the kid that mows her lawn. If I was on the jury, I’d give it to any of those over a damn cat. Then I would go piss on the stupid hag’s grave.

They did take money back from the dog and two grandchildren she specifically disinherited were given $2m each on the idea she had not been of sound mind when signing that will.
