Obama may not be a card carrying member of the Communist Party, but without doubt he was steeped in Marxism since he was a kid. I have long thought that Obama’s vision of what America should look like more resembles East Germany than European socialist nations and certainly is not the democratic republic of our Constitution.

I lived in Hyde Park (Chicago) in the 60's... once when over at a friends house - the "Mom" was lecturing on the world etc and I made the comment, 'what are you? A card carrying communist?". She looked me straight in the eye and told me that everyone had been told to destroy their cards years ago... and that yes, she and many were still communists - but no one carried a card.
KM writings date back to the NY Tribune of 1851 and the next ten years;and there is his letter to lincoln (congratulating him in his fine work...) of about 1864, I think it was...as well as many of his associates of the 1848 rebellion were high ranking officers of the union army, etc.
