“The Rebel” is one western that hasn’t yet made it to dvd. I recall the Encore Westerns channel running it back in the mid-to-late-90s, but I haven’t seen it since. A good one, though.
Lots of old western shows have become available on dvd in recent years. One outfit, Timeless, has released a slew of them, including some of the lesser-seen ones, like “Tales of Wells Fargo,” “Laramie,” “Cimarron City,” “The Deputy,” “The Tall Man,” “Whispering Smith,” “Destry,” “Restless Gun,” “Laredo,” “The Texan,” and probably a few others. They also recently released the modern-day western/rodeo series “The Wide Country.” I’d rather watch this stuff anyday over the current garbage the networks are airing.
I just picked up both seasons of “The Guns of Will Sonnett” on DVD. Still trying to get “High Chaparral” and “26 Men”.
But not Rawhide, I wonder why?
