Among the comments to the article is one that identifies the forum, whether or not accurately, as the United States District Court for the Central District of California in Los Angeles. Another poster states that the blog's lawyer should have applied to the Ninth Circuit for a writ of mandamus. Also, only the ICE staff lawyer, not a court official, made reference to the extensions, so there may never have been any. Meanwhile, the relevant statute of limitations may have conveniently run.

On the other topic, FR should long ago have tunneled to an offshore VPN for hosting.

That is what this is all about, Free Speech. Free Republic does not have to register in an off-shore country, we will fight to keep it that way.
