That being the case, I think this artist [whether you like her work or not,] has made it. In spades.

Great. On the other hand, what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his mind? I do seriously think this artist is disturbed. How is it even possible to fill up all that space without a unifying statement? Oh well, I guess the answer lies in simply downgrading the creator from artist to wall painter. He filled up space. That's all.

Over the years, I have rubbed elbows with some pretty commercially successful artists. Perhaps you have heard of them? Sol LeWitt, Sandy Calder, Norman Rockwell, Eric Sloane, and Andrew Wyeth.

I can assure you that their respective wives played important business roles in the *ugly* promotion of their husband's art. Mostly insulating the husband/artist from the distractions of marketing, Respectively, Carol, Louisa, Molly Mimi and Carolyn did just that. I don't think anyone sold their souls b/c of it. I don't have time to argue with silly people who are trying to make a silly point.

Line? Rhythm?

Good luck with your art and have a very, very Merry Christmas. :D

Other Famous *wall painters*:

If you're going to equate Da Vinci and Thomas Hart Benton with the meth head who filled half an acre of wall space with uninspired scribbling, then I don't have time for this.

Meh. Prove your silly accusation that Heike Weber is a meth-head...otherwise I'll chalk it up to *your* problem, which is a severe case of ...

Granted, I don't know that she is a meth head. Let me just say that her stuff looks like it was done by a person who has far more time and energy than talent or ideas. I saw plenty of psychedelic art in the 60's, created by people on various mind altering substances, and most of it was more edifying than Weber's stuff. All she does is fill up space, with no critical eye to the final effect. It's as if she just said, "I think I'll just fill up this space," and then proceeded to do it. That's not how the artistic process works. You start with an idea, and the idea spawns other ideas, and the materials and chance contribute, and you take a look and see what's happening, and then you adjust the design and keep stepping back to reassess, etc etc. I see no such involvement in these pieces. They're just doodles that metastacised to fill all available space, reproducing like cancer cells, with no variation or differentiation.

Still, as you pointed out, she managed to get some attention, so at least from her point of view, it wasn't a complete waste of time.

Your lack of intellectual curiosity astounds me.

You're lazy if you didn't find [above] with a few quick clicks...within seconds.

You come across as silly and very possibly a fake, phoney and a fraud; AKA, intellectually dishonest.

[I won't mention your lie.]

What makes you think I didn’t check out her art? I looked at about 30 different works, and not one of them impressed me. But hey, if that stuff floats your boat, enjoy. There is no accounting for taste.
