To: Travis McGee

I’ve often thought about getting one just for the historical coolness factor, but never got around to it. At that price, go for it! Just stock up on ammo, it’s not that readily available.

Just thinking about it, you might consider something with ammunition commonality with something else in the arsenal. Might be worth paying a little more for the weapon, for that.

I just noticed we posted during the exact same second.

I had a Ruger Blackhawk in .30 carbine back around 1987. Every time I fired it, the muzzle blast would give me a new hairdo.

I’m not crazy about diversifying into a whole new caliber, but for $200 I figure, why not? I’ll just stock up on ammo and hope it lasts.
