What I have found is that small light weight compacts are very difficult to shoot, They tend to roll in your hand and they recoil like hell.

Many recommend the SW 442 airweight for gals
I’m a guy, and I dont like the punishment it delivers, I also find the trigger to be long and stiff.

I give that 442 to women to shoot and they take one shot, shake their heads and hand it back.*it hurts and its hard to keep on target*
I give them the CZ 82 and they smile.

I like the concept and CZ makes a quality gun, but I bet this thing recoils like a SOB

The CZ-82 is a good one, also the various Makarovs.

I once had a TPH in .22lr and it was remarkably accurate for it’s size. Also pleasant to shoot.

When all is said and done, the full sized 1911 and Browning Hi-Power are about as good as it gets. The Browning particularly fits my hand, feels like it was designed just for me.
