Discovery Networks only has association with the organizers of the Chunkin as far as covering it. The event is totally independent of Discovery Networks and they have their OWN insurance, just in case.

I am sure injuries HAVE occurred in the past...they just never talk about them.

I went to the one in DE a few years back - great time, huge party. You should've seen the amazing things. The air cannons are OK but the mechanical genius employed in the "geared trebuchets" .

I did see a pumpkin released too soon and take out a porta john.

Love the Punkin Chunkin’ shows but agreed as to the riskiness of some of those rigs.

Also surprised that the range masters let contestants consume alcohol during the event.
