Our house has been broken into twice, We’ve had prowlers and strange calls in the night. All that stopped the day I brought in the dogs to run free.
Out neighbors were broken into till they also brought in dogs. The nearest neighbors are 400 yards away from us.
I am very much aware that burglars will call the law to get dogs removed before they hit a home.

Next some city boy will be calling the law because my roosters crow and wake them.
The “I was here first” argument is not a particularly effective one - ask the American Indians how it worked out for them. It may seem like injustice to you but no one else involved will view it that way.
