Look at their accomplishments. Newt allied himself with Ronald Reagan to build the Reagan Coalition, the Religious Right, and the Republican majority (together the Reagan Revolution) which directly led the downfall of the Soviet Union, the Contract with America, government reforms, less government, tax cuts, a balanced budget, and the great, long-standing Reagan economy.

Romney, on the other hand, vehemently denied Ronald Reagan and aligned himself with Ted Kennedy and the left. Romney accomplished installing liberal big government programs, defended and promoted Roe v Wade and legalized abortion as “settled law,” advocated and implemented RomneyCare with its liberty killing government mandates against formerly free citizens and its taxpayer funded or subsidized and mandated abortion procedures. He ran and governed to the left of Ted Kennedy on the “gay agenda” resulting in gay marriage in Massachusetts. He appointed liberal judges and liberal appointees throughout his government. Under his “leadership” conservatism and the Republican party was all but destroyed in Massachusetts.

Romney is one evil liberal progressive. No way in hell will MittBots be allowed to support this abortionist, big government, socialist scumbag on FR!

Guess my message isn’t clear enough. I have to keep repeating it and zotting would be MittBots.

He also said he would eliminate the EPA.......and replace it with another agency. “Environmental Solutions Agency”

He said that sitting on the couch with Pelosi was a mistake because she’s radioactive and it took away from the message (Which was, we caused all this global warming and now we gotta fix it)

“Gingrich’s Pro-Life Record

from the Gingrich for President campaign

Newt Gingrich has consistently upheld a pro-life standard. He had a consistent pro-life voting record throughout his twenty years in Congress, including his four years as Speaker of the House of Representatives. Gingrich pledges to uphold this consistent pro-life standard as president. Gingrich’s consistent pro-life standard is reflected by the following:

1. 98.6% Lifetime Pro-Life Rating from the National Right to Life Committee (NRLC). For the 20 years that Gingrich served in Congress (1979-1999), Gingrich supported the pro-life position in 70 out of 71 votes. (In the one instance that he did not take the NRLC position, it was because the NRLC opposed an early 1995 version of welfare reform because it changed certain welfare payments for mothers with children; NRLC did not oppose the final version of Gingrich’s welfare reform passed in 1996)

2. Supported the Hyde Amendment. Gingrich consistently voted for the Hyde amendment and other bans on government funding of abortions.

3. Partial Birth Abortion Ban. During Gingrich’s tenure as Speaker, the House of Representatives twice passed legislation banning partial birth abortions. President Clinton vetoed this legislation both times. Finally, a partial birth abortion ban was signed into law in 2003. The legislative effort to ban partial birth abortions had a very positive impact increasing pro-life support in the United States.

4. Signed the Susan B. Anthony List Pro-Life Leadership Presidential Pledge. In June 2011, Gingrich signed the SBA List Pro-Life Leadership Presidential pledge in which Gingrich pledges to the American people that if elected President he will (i) only nominate judges to the Supreme Court and federal judiciary who are committed to restraint and applying the original meaning of the Constitution, and not legislating from the bench (ii) select pro-life appointees for relevant executive branch positions, (iii) advance pro-life legislation to permanently end all taxpayer funding of abortion in all domestic and international spending programs, (iv) defund Planned Parenthood; and (v) advance and sign into law a Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act to protect unborn children who are capable of feeling pain from abortion.

5. Pledges to Sign Two Pro-life Executive Orders on the first day of a Gingrich Administration.

i. “Mexico City Policy” of Respect for Life. Reauthorize President Ronald Reagan’s policy – also known as the “Mexico City Policy”— to stop the federal funding of any non-governmental agencies or charities that perform or promote abortions in foreign countries.

ii. Respect the Beliefs and Integrity of Healthcare Workers. No American working in a medical environment should be forced to perform any action or procedure that he or she finds morally or ethically objectionable. This protection should include, but not be limited to, abortion and sterilization procedures. Existing conscience clause protections need to be strengthened”

I’m well aware of Gingrich’s record. He’s all over the board.

A Dem opponent once famously called Romney a “cover the road” politician in a debate. And it was and is true.

Same goes for Newt.

This was the title of the next article.

“Newt Gingrich Has Failed to Meet a Consistently Pro-Life Standard”

I'm not going to quote from it because there is nothing to quote. Just some one sentence innocuous, out of context quotes. NO SUBSTANCE at all. A hit piece.

he has had different positions on several important issues. The question is, which is the real Gingrich, which will he espouse when he takes over the WH?

Sounds like Gingrich made a scientific mistake, rather than a political one.

Look, maybe Newt isn't as pro life as some of you. Or, you are just using that opportunity to trash Newt. Anyway, I am more pro life than Newt. I do not believe in any exception for rape or incest. Life of the mother issue is up to the mother, father, family, consultation with the doctor. If a woman CHOOSES to sacrifice her life for her child, she should be able to do so. If she chooses to sacrifice her child to save her own life, who am I to say. In the case where a life HAS to be lost, (very rare), It is a lose lose situation with no good choice.

Newt is likely (because of his conversion to Catholicism), more pro life today than in any time in his life. To say that Newt has been “PRO CHOICE”, in the past, is a BOLD FACED LIE.

“Some 55 percent of Americans took a pro-life position on abortion. Of those, 33 percent said abortions should be “permitted only in cases such as rape, incest and to save the woman's life.”

The survey found 17 percent said they would limit abortion only to cases where a woman's life is in danger and 5 percent said abortions should never be permitted”

So, in this poll only 17% agree with my position and 33% with Newt's old position.

It rattles me down to the soles of my feet that THIS is all we are left with. NO core values. NO principles. NO morality. NO honor. NO decency. NO honesty. NO ethics. NO conscience. A totally corrupt government run by totally corrupt politicians, judges, and bureaucrats.

Is newt already self destructing?

I thought he’d at least last 5 minutes or something.

I wonder what’ll happen when Newt destroys himself at the same time as the media destroys him.

Where’s my popcorn maker...

Calling folks who disagree with you “liars” may not be the most efficacious way to win converts to your side.

Don't bother. They aren't interested in the facts, they have their opinions which count more than any facts.

The Newt trashers KNOW Newt is evil--they don't have any facts to back them up--but they just know it. It's a phenomenon which manifests itself more often in liberals. The don't care that Newt's record is pro-life, they don't care that he has promised to appoint only strict constructionist Justices, they don't care that Newt has done more to advance and enact the conservative agenda than any candidate running. Newt is Newt and therefore he can't be conservative--they just know it.

Mika Brzezinski is as intellectually consistent and rational as most of these Newt trashers.

I think the truth is that most of them secretly like Obama and what he is doing to our nation.

Gingrich can say that he believes that life begins at conception, but the real point is that he is opposed to legal protection beginning at conception.
