I don't believe they found anything significant. Otherwise, there would have been rumors floating around about it before now. They'll be trying to put the best face possible on things in order to justify the expense of building the supercollider.

The Higgs wasn’t found yet because it isn’t there to be found. The mass range that it would “have to” fall into turns out to not have the Higgs. This was found out before the LHC fired up. Soooo, we’ll see something major about the Higgs, but coverage will be soft. The ad-hoc bailing out of the Standard Theory when neutrinos were found to have mass was a little disconcerting for many. :’)
