These new billboards have been popping up along 75 Central in Dallas, replacing the older "paper" billboards. They are bright but unreadable at times. Just asking.

From a distance it’s all a big blur...and Yes I have glasses on and I’m logged in.

I saw it, no real problem reading it.
I like the one just north of there that faces the southbound lanes, just south of LBJ...

I don’t have any problem reading these electronic billboards. I actually can read them better than the old ones because they are so bright.

That’s a regular paper one. It just seems that the fonts on the new ones are too bright. Blends in with the surrounding background..at least to me. I gotta wait till up on it to read whatever is on it.

Anomalous dichromatism probably accounts for it. One of your primary "color" cones has chemistry just a tad off the average. With LEDs the light emitted is not broad spectrum but pretty tight on a narrow range of frequencies.
But, not to worry, it could be worse. You could, for example, not have any blue receptors ~ and if your rods were damaged by disease or retinal detachment, you wouldn't be able to see yellow.
There's a color vision test on the internet ~ use it. See how far you can go.

Also heavy use of cialis, levitra or viagra can wipe out your blue vision ~ leaving you unable to see yellow.
Well known phenomenon, first discovered among airline pilots ~ they're required to take color vision tests regularly (not that they all came in saying "Hey, Doc, I got a problem").

What about coffee and Marlboros? Maybe I’m getting old. I liked the old ones.

Tough question. Since I’ve never seen one, I suppose I could say I’m having “trouble” seeing them.
But......since we don’t seem to have them here, I should say that I’m having no trouble at all.

In some cases polarized sunglasses could have this effect. Not the correct explanation for night driving, I hope.

These vanity threads are getting more and more ridiculous.
I think I'll post a thread "What Time is It?" and see how many replies I get.
